  • Week One: June 23 through June 27 Sorry Cancelled
  • Week Two: July 21 through July 25
  • Week Three: August 4 through August 8
  • Week Four: August 11 through August 15
  • New Session August 18 through August 22
  • This year FOUR sessions, each 5 consecutive days from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.


Who:
Students now completing grades 1 through 8. We accept students who reside in or out of Kanabec County. (Sorry no Kindergarten - students must have completed First Grade this School year!)


Cost:

  • $40.00 per student for members of Kanabec County Historical Society
  • $50.00 per student for non-members


Details:
  • Students will arrive at school each day in costume ready to participate in a 1900’s school day.
  • Cold lunch must be brought from home appropriate for the era.
  • Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school.
  • Each session is limited to 25 students and a limited number will be accepted for each grade level.
  • Students are not allowed to bring other students as guests during the day without prior permission from the teacher.
  • Family members are welcome to visit during the week of class to observe and visit the museum (visitors are required to check in at the front desk in the main building before visiting the school.)
  • Parents are to notify Center if student will be absent or if someone other than parent/guardian will pick student up at end of the day.
  • On Friday of each week at 1 p.m. the students will present a program followed by a treat for all. The History Center provides a beverage and ice cream with students bringing a treat to share from home (cookies, bars etc.) The families and friends of participating students are cordially invited to attend this event and visit the Museum (No admission charge)

Registration form must be completed and returned to the Kanabec History Center as soon as possible enclosing appropriate fee.

Acceptance:
All students are accepted unless a session or grade level is full. A postcard will be sent out to students at least one week prior to the beginning of the session as a reminder.
