Current Exhibits
"Logging in Kanabec County" includes items used by the loggers, photos, a logging timeline and items recovered from the Camp Creek logging camp site.
"Kanabec County the Long and the Short of it " This exhibit features an early switch board from Brook Park, photos of early telephone offices and switch board operators. Also a display of phones and they have changed over the decades. There is a reproduction of an early Mora City Telephone Directory that you are welcome to look through.
"Mr. Postman" This exhibit features photographs of early postal carriers and post offices. Focal point-the original mailboxes from the Grass Lake post office housed in the Dennewith Store 1878 to 1904.
Financial Businesses of Kanabec County" Banks and Credit Unions in Quamba, Ogilvie, Mora, Grasston, and Brunswick. Includes photos and newspaper clippings.
Ojibwe Camp-The Advent of the European Trader" Features an actual 1/2 size wig wam constructed mostly with materials collected on the Kanabec History Center grounds also dried plant material collected on our grounds and their Native American uses. This exhibit also shows some of the metal objects and beads that the Europeans traded for furs.
