RURAL SCHOOL INFORMATION

Many histories of the rural schools of the county were collected by  Ester Boyd,  County Superintendent of Schools during the 50’s.  These histories together with various school records are available at the Kanabec History Center for research.
Additional information is being added continuously to these files as it appears.  Photographs of school buildings, classes, teachers, and activities are needed for many of these schools.

There is a listing of county rural teachers association members 1931 - 1965 also.  Additional information on any of the rural schools, particularly on the fate of the school buildings, would be welcomed.
